Railway tracks

In countries like Portugal and Spain, there are many abandoned railway tracks. Over the past decennium these have gradually been discovered as great bicycle tracks. Pedalling through beautiful landscapes without too much ups and downs. It's really worth discovering. Here are some beautiful pictures from Portugal.

Bicycle Breakfast

Some weeks ago I assisted a bicycle breakfast in Ede. The idea was to give cycling in this medium sized town a boost in the coming years. We had a brainstorm on inspiring actions for the future and there were lots of fascinating bikes. Have a look at some of these pictures.

This week when I listened to the radio I heard about this fascinating project called Götterfunken by the Rosa Ensemble.
Götterfunken is a musical performance inspired by a 9000 km. bicycle trip through Europe by Composer Wilbert Bulsink and illustrator Geert Glas.

Cycling in the City

Not all posts have to be new ones. Today I had an inspiring talk with a colleague about Jane Jacobs, Jan Gehl, liveable cities and cycling amongst others. This inspired me to look back some of the Jan Gehl videos on internet. Here is just one small example. Enjoy!
